On the 20th Anniversary of Strehler’s death, La Scala will stage his celebrated production anew, recalling to the podium the man who conducted it the first time. The dizzying role of Konstanze will be sung by Lenneke Ruiten, with the emerging Mozart tenor Mauro Peter in the role of Belmonte.
